Terrain

Righto, making a bit of terrain to help shake up my normal routine of only working on miniatures.  It's an extension of my newfound interest in making bases for my Malifaux crew.

Some flock and various detail will be added to break up the brown-ness of it all.  Have also had some plasticard come in the post, which will be fun to play with.

A Summer Christmas

A little treat for myself.

I have gotten two games of Malifaux in sofar, one loss and one victory.  Quite a brilliant game, I am going to try and make it out to the store more often to play.

Taelor and Austringer, more work done

These pictures are a few days old.  I'm not happy with Taelor sofar, and the Austringer is alright.  The face on him is all wonky because it's under a big floppy hat, and I honestly can't be bothered on a detail that is never going to be seen.  For all intents and purposes, the Austringer is done.

Whee... classes start up next week.

Just getting some paint on them so they don't look too sad on the tabletop.  Heading to the store within the hour, hopefully. 

Finished Guild Crew

I plan on picking up an addition or two for the crew today (Taelor and possibly an Austringer), but as it stands now, I have a playable 25SS list!

Bases, done sans miniatures

I should be able to get all of the crew affixed tomorrow morning, take some good daylight pictures, and be ready to game on Thursday!

Bases, nearly there

The glue will dry while I'm at work today, then priming when I get home, and painting tomorrow!

And one (upper right) that has a little recess underneath the planking for a little bit of the blue crystals (soulstones).

Basing

It turns out I forgot to paint Sonnia's sword.  Whoopsiedaisy.

Nooow we've got the basing, where I've found out something rather fun. All you need is a wine cork, a saw blade for your x-acto (I found it made things lots easier), and superglue.  Maybe tweezers to help with the effect of stone.

The base tabs are clipped off, the models themselves are matt varnished... 'ere we go!

Sonnia, Basing

I will touch up her pants before varnishing, but otherwise, done.  I'm glad to finally have knocked out my crew, and in short order to boot.  For my next trick, basing...
